How to use your alligator leather product for long-lasting quality

how to use your leather product properly

When you decided to buy a leather product, you want to make sure that the item you buy takes proper care of it so that it will last for as long as possible. Keeping the product looking nice keeps you always feeling confident.

Once you have bought our crocodile skin watch strap, shoes, bag and wallet, our control over how the product is taken care of is over. However, before we leave with our leather product, there are a few general tips we can share with you so that you can get the most use out of alligator leather products.

Storage Tips

When not in use, alligator leather items such as shoes or watch straps should be kept in a dry place. A nice place to store your leather product should be in a shoe or clothes closet, for watch straps would be in a watch box or watch strap bag.

Ideally, instead of trying to fold leather items and putting them in a small dresser drawer, they should be hung on a coat hanger. Crocodile leather belts should also be hung straight by belt buckles to avoid causing cracks in the leather.

Cleaning Tips

First of all, you must avoid getting alligator leather wet. Some people think their alligator leather repels water rather than absorbing it, it's still too much water that can cause damage to the product. So, if your crocodile leather wear gets wet, it is important to clean it off in the proper way.

To absorb the majority of the excess moisture, gently rub the affected area of the crocodile leather product with a soft, dry towel or cleaning cloth. After that, hang-dry the item to remove any remaining moisture. When drying the leather, do not use sunlight or any other heat source, as this can damage the finish and cause cracking.

For dirt, dust, the process from above remains largely the same, but it takes more time to dry the leather. If it is sand, using a soft cloth to remove the dirt can make the process faster, but the product needs to be dried to reduce the risk of damage to the finish.

With proper care, alligator skin products should remain beautiful and ready for use for years to come. Sharing general care tips such as these to your friend!
